Kaely Peiro-Kossal
M.ED., CCC-SLP
Kaely received her Master of Education degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Nevada State College. She completed her internships in an in-patient rehab hospital setting for the adult population and in an outpatient pediatric setting. Additionally, she completed a portion of her internship in an outpatient university clinic where she provided services to pediatric and adult populations via tele-practice. Before she completed her master’s degree to pursue Speech Language Pathology, she was a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor that worked with individuals across the lifespan to provide therapy through horseback riding and groundwork with equine partners to address patients across the spectrum of behavioral, cognitive, and physical disabilities.
Kaely is passionate about treating disorders of the voice, cognition, and dysarthria in adult populations. She is trained and certified as a SPEAK OUT! and LOUD CROWD Provider through the Parkinson’s Voice Project. Additionally, Kaely has taken a specific interest in learning more about and providing feeding/swallow therapy for pediatric populations and addressing pediatric articulation disorders.
Kaely enjoys a variety of outdoors activities, particularly horseback riding in the Western discipline as she adopted and trained her Mustang from the BLM. She also loves non-professionally working with and training working canines (like her pet Belgian Malinois). She is an avid reader and while she typically dislikes watching most sports, she has been a longtime hockey fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins and now is also a huge Golden Knights fan.
